Time Commitment

Time Commitment and Expectations

The core of the programme is one live workshop per week, supplemented by homework and self-directed learning on our platform. You'll also track additional off-the-job learning activities; this might include attending conferences, working through technical resources, or completing learning projects that build on workshop content.

The statutory minimum for off-the-job training is 6 hours per week. This time must happen during your normal working hours; your employer needs to protect this time and ensure you have genuine space to learn.

Applying What You Learn

This isn't abstract education. We expect you to integrate what you're learning directly into your work. The projects you complete, the techniques you develop, the systems you build; these should be solving real problems for your employer. That's the point of an apprenticeship: learning and doing at the same time.

Your employer should be giving you opportunities to apply new skills, and you should be actively looking for ways to connect workshop content to your day job.

Attendance and Accountability

Attendance matters to us. If you can't make a workshop, we expect you to let us know ahead of time and catch up on the missed content through additional homework. Life happens, but patterns of absence or last-minute cancellations signal a lack of commitment.

We select for curiosity, diligence, and drive. Once you're on the programme, we expect you to show up, do the work, and engage fully. If that's not something you can commit to right now, this isn't the right time to apply.
